Shamian Island has always been an important commercial port in Guangzhou. After over a century of historical accumulation, it became an important channel for domestic and foreign trade during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. However, after the Opium War, it was designated as the British and French concession. This place is a microcosm of our modern history and concession history. European-style buildings such as the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Shamian Christ Church, customs office, British Snowy factory, HSBC Bank, etc. have unique features showcased here. The whole island is like a small European town, with many coffee shops, churches, restaurants, and bars, making it a great place for taking photos.

Chen's Academy, originally named as such, was built in the 14th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the largest, most intact and exquisitely decorated ancestral temple buildings of the Qing Dynasty in Guangdong Province. The complex comprises 19 buildings of varying sizes, with the main building consisting of five three-bay, nine-courtyard structures arranged around a central axis of gate, Juxian Hall and rear hall. Each individual building is both independent and interconnected. The temple still boasts intricate decorations such as woodcarvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, clay sculptures, pottery sculptures, iron casting crafts and so on, scattered throughout the halls both inside and outside the temple.

Yongqingfang is located on Enning Road, which has a history of hundreds of years. This area used to be the old city area of Xiguan, with cultural relics and historic sites everywhere. The subsequent renovation of the old city has preserved the historical charm of old Guangzhou Xiguan and infused modern commercial art. Today's Yongqingfang has many hand-painted walls and specialty art shops, such as the Time Post Office, letterpress printing experience, and internet-famous cafes, making it especially suitable for taking photos and sightseeing.
