Myeong-Dong Catholic Cathedral

The cathedral was first built in 1898 and consecrated to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1945, it was renamed Myeongdong Cathedral to celebrate Korea's independence. The Virgin Mary's Garden behind the church sometimes holds organ performances at noon, and a midnight Mass is held here every December 24th.
